Italy – Milan – Garbagnate milanese
On Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, we will have the honor and pleasure of hosting Master Maul Mornie in Milan (Garbagnate Milanese) for an engaging SILAT event.
The event of international scope will attract masters and practitioners of various martial arts from all over Italy and abroad to deepen together and in friendship the art of Silat Suffian Bela Diri, a martial art from Brunei.

Who is the seminar aimed at?
The event is open to all masters and practitioners of any martial art, or self-defense system, who want to enrich their knowledge.
Day 1: 10th May
from 10 am to 4pm with one hour break
During the first day, the KARAMBIT, a traditional weapon used in silat, will be studied, with preparatory exercises, technical applications, and cultural aspects. Special attention will be brought to the use of the karambit against attackers armed with knives.
Day 2: 11th May
from 9 am to 3pm with one hour break
During the second day, JOINT LOCK and TAKE DOWNS will be studied, with the typical Silat approach, thus aiming at the study of structure (both one’s own and the opponent’s) and maximizing the effectiveness of techniques with the inclusion of continuous strikes. Again, this will start with preparatory exercises and then apply the techniques studied.
To conclude the event, a third topic chosen by a majority vote of the participants may be introduced during the last hour of the second day. This may be a valuable opportunity to try live one of the techniques demonstrated in the many videos posted on Master Maul Mornie’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/Maul565 ), videos that continue to fascinate millions of martial arts masters and practitioners around the world.
